For my fellow bookworms, these are some of my favorite books (and other stuff!). Perhaps some will find their way onto your shelves as well.
The Macintosh Way, by Guy Kawasaki, the original Mac evangelist. If your Mac friends haven't read it, put this on their gift list.
Next: The Future Just Happened by Michael Lewis. A great book on the impact of the Internet.
Purple Cow by Seth Godin. Transform yourself by being remarkable. Really!
The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby. It's packed full of vital tips, tricks, and information necessary for man-handling Photoshop.
Mac OS X Conversion Kit: 9 to 10 side by side by Scott Kelby. Technical editor would be me :)
Guy Kawasaki's The Art of the Start
The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett. Wizards & witches, magic & mayhem. Think Tolkien, but *much* funnier.
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. Werewolves in modern day NYC, sexual tension... need I say more?!
Star Trek: Federation by Judith-Reeves Stevens. I swear this is the way the future will end up being. Wish I was going to be around for it :(
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig. A glorious, philosophical journey. Bit of a heady read, but worth it.
Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett. Another in the gloriously long line of Discworld novels.
In the Ghost Country by Peter Hillary. The chronicles of Hillary's trek to the South Pole. I met him recently... what an incredible man and adventurer.
Secret Life of Lobsters by Trevor Corson
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
