New Podcast Makes Using Graphics Easy for Business People
Oct. 6, 2006
Ahem... (shifts around in seat)... I shall now read the following news item from an official press release; because, well, I've never had an official press release before:
"CALGARY, Alberta October 6, 2006iStockphoto, the world's leading community-powered marketplace for stock photography and illustrations, announced that it will sponsor a weekly podcast starting today. "Graphic Secrets for Business," hosted by founder of GraphicReporter.com and iStockphoto Chief Evangelist, Lesa Snider King, will offer simple tips and tricks in 5-minute segments that will help even novice users effectively add images and multimedia to their documents. Graphics Secrets for Business can be accessed at iStockphoto.com/Evangelesa or on the iTunes Store."
Whee! Okay that was fun.
In all seriousness, I began my professional life as an executive secretary years ago and almost immediately was tasked to create documents, presentations, et al, with nary a moment's training in graphics much less design. Therefore, it is my hope that sole proprietors, corporate managers and administrative assistants will find this new podcast to be a valuable resource. Not only for the perfect imagery (iStockphoto of course!), but what the heck to do with the images once they have them, and how adding imagery to their documents and presentations can help them communicate more effectively in a variety of software.
I'm also happy to announce I'll be teaching an intensive two-day course of the same name at Macworld Expo this coming January in San Francisco, CA.
Here's to the new podcasts' success!
