While working a conference in Orlando for iStockphoto, Tiffani and I treated ourselves to Disney World, Epcot, and the Kennedy Space Center... all in 1.5 days :)
Could it be?!?!
It's Mickey!
The obligatory family photo in front of the castle
Entrance to Tomorrow Land
One quadrant of the Disney village
The sky was an unbelievable shade of blue
Maybe it's not real
Waiting for the Small World ride
Tiffani waiting in the same line
Small World characters
from, well, around the world
It's the Spaceship Earth ride!
Beneath the big silver ball
A waterfall that falls UP!
Epcot stands for "Experimental Planned Community of Tomorrow"
Woo hoo!
We made it to the Cape!
Happy NASA geeks
The Vehicle Assembly Building
Gator!
The Ferrari vehicle that moves the shuttle from the VAB to the launch pad
Atlantis on the pad!
It's way out there
Another pad
The road the shuttle travels to the pad
Intersection
Inside the old control room
They had a live demo of what a launch was like...
The lights flashed...
They went down the checklist
The windows turned orange and even shook!
The engine bells of the almightly Saturn IV
They had a whole Saturn IV hanging from the ceiling...
and had space between the sections so you could see the instrumentation in between
