QuickTip: Photoshop Brush Cursor

How to fix a rogue Brush cursor

Nov. 15, 2006

Last week I had the pleasure of catching one of my idols' sessions at PhotoPlus in New York City. Her name is Julienne Kost and when I grow up I want to be just like her. She's one of the best teachers on the instruction circuit and if you get a chance to catch one of her sessions, beg, steal or borrow to get yourself there.

Therefore, here's a little QuickTip plucked from her session which I believe you'll find most useful.

Have you ever had your brush cursor go rogue in Photoshop? One minute it's nice and full, round and fluffy and the next minute it's a microscopic dot? Take a peek at your keyboard and see if the Caps Lock key is on. The seldom used though mighty Caps Lock key toggles between two different brush cursors.

Who knew?! It's also a great little trick to play on the person in the cubicle next to you :)
